Cougars Put Up Impressive Marks at Pomona-Pitzer InvitePublished by
POMONA, Calif. Six student-athletes from the Cal State San Marcos women's indoor track & field team posted NAIA "A" standard qualifying times for the NAIA Indoor National Championships while competing in the Pomona-Pitzer Collegiate All-Comers Invite on Saturday at Strehle Track.Natalie Rodriguez (10:12.44), Kate Bouvatte (10:12.65), Bailey Smith (10:27.32) and Terra McGinnis (10:29.28) all ran the 3000m under the "A" standard of 10:30. McGinnis had already qualified in the event during last week's Soka Invite, but now she will have three teammates to run with come national championship time. Moreover, it will provide CSUSM more chances to score team points during the event.In addition, Charlotte Kuzminsky (2:55.97) and Cristen Lane (2:58.04) qualified comfortably under the "A" standard of 3:02 in the 1000m.
