Cougars Bay Area Bound for SF InvitePublished by
SAN MARCOS, Calif. The Cal State San Marcos cross country teams head north to compete in the San Francisco State Invitational on Friday, Oct. 9. This will be the first time the Cougars compete in the event hosted by its new California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) rival. Fellow CCAA members Cal State East Bay, Cal State Monterey Bay, Chico State, Humboldt State, Sonoma State and Stanislaus State will also be competing in the event. The Chico State squads are the top-ranked NCAA Division II teams in the West Region in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) polls. Nationally, the Wildcat men's team is ranked second and the women's team is fifth.
