Cougars Defend Home Course With SweepPublished by
San Marcos, Calif. Ninth-ranked Cal State San Marcos men's cross country swept their way to a third consecutive victory at the 7th Annual Cougar Challenge at Mangrum Track."Considering this wasn't a strong team competition race, I told the runners to run with reckless abandonment today," said head coach Steve Scott. "And that is exactly what they did. They went out and ran hard and we got a lot of personal bests out of the day." Freshman Andrew Tellames placed first for the Cougars, finishing with a PR of 25:06 on the 8K course. The victory is Tellames' first as a Cougar and his PR ties him for twelfth best in Cougar history. For the full release, visit www.CSUSMCougars.com Read the full article at: www.csusmcougars.com
