The Cal State San Marcos Department of Athletics has been waiting a long time for the 2017-18 school year. The Cougars learned over the summer that the program had officially completed the transition to NCAA Division II, making CSUSM teams eligible for Division II postseason play for the first time. For the 2016-17 academic year, 10 of CSUSM's 13 teams would have made the postseason had the Cougars been eligible. If the fall sports season was any indication, the Cougars may have that many teams competing in the postseason in the University's first year of eligibility. For more, visit CSUSMCougars.com.
