Cougars Sweep Team Titles At NAIA West Coast Jamboree

Comments
LA MIRANDA, Calif. The Cal State San Marcos cross country teams ended the regular season with a bang with both teams taking the team titles at the NAIA West Coast Jamboree hosted by Biola. Freshman Andrew Tallames collected his second consecutive individual medalist honors in a time of 25:11.8, narrowly beating Biola's Kevin Horchler. Senior Kate Bouvatte narrowly missed out on earning her third individual title of the season as Carroll's Leah Esposito outsprinted her in the final 10 meters to take first place. "I was a little worried today because we had such great performances last week and a lot of people got PRs," said head coach Steve Scott. "Usually when that happens, the next week you get down. So I really tried to focus that we had competition today and don't worry about time. Just worry about the level competition and try to beat the people that are here. Both teams responded really, really well."For the full release, visit www.CSUSMCougars.com
